Redefining the Accuracy Benchmark
The Micron kit procedure is fully standardised, which enables us to bring a more consistent and robust testing procedure. Our statistical analysis results show that the z-scores from our test results are repeatedly closer to the consensus value within a population of results than many traditional veterinary laboratories.
Even with a much faster turnaround time, the Micron Kit doesn’t compromise on accuracy.
We have rigorously tested every stage of our testing procedure through extensive variability testing, to develop a process that’s optimised to extract parasite eggs from a sample at a high efficiency rate.
In addition, when you use the Micron Kit, data can be tracked over periods of time and be reviewed through our digital platform which provides endless insights. This is a huge step into the future from the standard paper-based lab testing, providing researchers with ample parasite data.
Our uncompromised reliability is reflected in our VetQAS profieciency testing results. An indpendant study available within the Journal of Veterinary Parasitology concluded that results obtained by the Micron kit alligned with results provided by an accredidated labrotory. The results obtained via AI and machine learning also did alligned with those obtained visually by a trained technicitian when analysing the same sample footage.

How It Works

Results
The Micron app detects a very comprehensive range of gastrointestinal roundworm eggs tailored to both ruminants and equine. Your phone scans the sample, our ML algorithm can then detect the presence of parasite eggs and determine the type of egg. The analysis software then also counts the number of eggs present. A results report is automatically generated and returned to you with your businesses branding.

How It Works
The Micron Kit conducts FEC analysis as standard. The Micron Kit can detect fluke with the +Fluke add-on. +Fluke contains all the equipment required to prepare a sample for liver and rumen fluke analysis.
Once ready, the sample is analysed via your Micron app and reader as per standard. Prepare samples in 3 minutes and receive results within approximately 10 minutes.
